Idi Amin, the former President of Uganda, had six wives throughout his lifetime. Their names were Malyamu, Kay, Nora, Madina, Nora, and Sarah.
Malyamu, also known as Maria, was his first wife and a Muslim from his hometown. They had five children together.
Kay Amin was Amin's second wife and a Christian from northern Uganda. She had three children with Amin.
Nora Amin, also known as Nora Namirembe Bitanga, was his third wife and a Muslim from the Busoga region. They had five children together.
Madina Amin was his fourth wife and a Muslim from western Uganda. They had two children together.
Nora Amin, another woman with the same first name as his third wife, was his fifth wife and a Muslim from the Busoga region. They had no children together.
Sarah Kyolaba was his sixth and final wife. She was a Christian from the south of Uganda. They had two children together.
Some of Amin's wives were believed to have been involved in political affairs during his presidency, while others were rumored to have been killed or exiled after their husband's fall from power in 1979.
